Summertime Writing Time

Posted By on June 16, 2013

Summer is a great time to relax, re-organize, and re-energize. I’m doing a bit of that this year, while I take the summer off from travel to write, relax, and write some more. My goal is to finish Book Six in the Marketplace Series, “The Inheritor,” by the end of this year. And while I write, I’ll be dropping some tidbits here, on my website, for folks who like to read how the book is progressing.

I’ve also re-organized my on-line store, where you can purchase signed copies of my books, pins, and other fun items. The link to my stores (you can get shirts, coffee cups, and similar items at my Cafe Press store) are on the right of the page.

As for re-energizing, I’ve got Book Five, The Reunion, returning to print, and heading to e-books in just a few short weeks.  Author Debra Hyde writes:

Yes, the potent combination that made The Slave such the most popular volume in the original trilogy fires up again, and while I refuse to say whether the unrequited desire of every reader who ever latched onto Chris and Robin is finally answered, I can say this reunion is immensely satisfying.”

As with all of the re-releases of my Marketplace series, there will be an added short story for those who purchase an e-book edition of “The Reunion.” This is a story of Chris Parker at 19 years of age, in training at Kaleigh, and struggling with issues of sex and sexuality, identity and belonging, friendship and loyalty, obedience and spirit. Readers will finally meet Harry “Stan” Piggot, and will get a glimpse of three of Chris’s early role models.

Keep a close eye out for “Kaleigh Lad” excerpts, coming soon!
