Back to NYC, and Down the Coast

I’m back from a wonderful trip to International Mister Leather Contest, surrounded by thousands of leathermen, and celebrating kink and fun. And selling books, of course! Not only did a number of current and former leather titleholders stop by to get personalized copies, and Northbound Leather in Toronto now has a bunch of autographed copies – so tell your Canadian friends!

On Thursday, May 30th, I will be attending Book Expo America at the Jacob Javits Center for the first time. Not only will I be at the Cleis Press table, but I have a slot to sign books at the Mystery Writers of America. That evening, as part of the BEA celebrations, I’ll be reading at the Happy Endings Lounge, with New York’s Pleasure Salon. Molly Weatherfield, DL King and I will read from their steamy novels, and discuss the keys to writing smart and sexy stories. Readers, writers, and the people who love them are all welcome. There will be a giveaway of all of the authors’ latest titles, so at least five people will be “getting lucky.” If you’re a fan of sex positivity and s/m writing, you’re in for a delightful evening at The Happy Endings Lounge.

I’ll then be heading down to Florida for the weekend of May 31-June 2 to appear at the Florida Bash, one of the longest running BDSM events in the Southeast. I’ll be presenting workshops and signing books, with some of the friendlist kinky folks you’ll ever find.

And in June, I’ll be in Philadelphia on Friday, June 14th, reading atGiovanni’s Room, and attending the Philadephia Trans Health Conference, where I’m on a panel on Saturday, the 15th with storyteller Bear Bergman and author Rachel Zall to discuss “writing trans.”

Speaking of writing, expect to see “The Reunion,” Book Five of the Marketplace series back in print (and available as an e-book) this summer. And I am working on Book Six, “The Inheritor,” which I hope to finish by the end of the year.
